About Us

Welcome to Hughesdale Kindergarten, a not-for-profit community kinder with a proud history of providing high quality education to children of Hughesdale and surrounds for over 70 years.

 

We at Hughesdale Kindergarten acknowledge the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land where we are today and pay our respect to their Elders past, present and future. We celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as being Australia’s First Peoples and the world’s oldest living culture. Our commitment to the true spirit of reconciliation means working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to gain mutual respect, relationships and opportunities.

At Hughesdale Kindergarten, every child's safety is our top priority. We have a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse, racial, religious and cultural discrimination. We have a duty of care to create an environment in which all children can flourish and be protected from harm. In order to fulfil this commitment, we have established values, behavioural expectations and recruitment practices that are consistent with the Child Safe Standards.
