About our program and philosophy

Our program takes into account all children and their level of development, theories in Early Childhood Education, parental expectation and our own personal and social values as an Early Childhood Educator. The program includes planned activities and experiences in which development is fostered in the four areas of child development: social, emotional, physical, and intellectual.

Day to day programs

Our programs are developed to cater for individual and group dynamics and although planned, the routines are very flexible, allowing time for the children to play and experiment with few interruptions. Development levels and interests vary so plans are made to suit the different groups of children.

We use strategies that focus on engaging children in the program; providing an environment were children learn through play and learn through being 'hands on' with their environment, challenging them to solve problems, ask questions, listen and reason, attend to and complete tasks, relate to peers and adults positively, resolve peer social issues appropriately and successfully and extend their experiences and knowledge of the world.
